Brickwork is a traditional trade that’s in demand. There is a shortage of qualified bricklayers in Oxfordshire and Construction Skills predict that in the next 3 years construction demands nationwide will return to pre-recession levels. This means brickwork learners are needed more than ever, and at ACE we have a regular supply of employers looking to take on new Brickwork Apprentices.
After training you will have the flexibility in the future to choose either to work for a building firm or set up on your own. On average bricklayers earn £15,000 – £30,000 per year.
We aim to progress every learner through to advanced courses and into employment as soon as they are ready. ACE offers 3 levels of Brickwork programmes:
Pre-Apprenticeship Brickwork – Learn trowel skills, how to build and repair walls as well as to construct cavity walling, chimneys and various different brickwork techniques. On completion of the course you will be awarded a Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork, and ACE will support you to complete your CSCS card to work on site. 3 days per week, 6 – 9 month course with progression possible onto an Apprenticeship on completion.
